abrupt au revoir to oakland's rendez-vous

the rendez-vous, oakland's cozy, romantic little french restaurant with the eclectic-glam decor and incredible found murals from the 1920s that won all the hearts when it opened in 2022...has come to a sad, sudden end.

with no explanation, just apologies for the quick decision, the restaurant made its announcement on instagram today that the bistro has closed, and the local dining scene is sadder for it.

the rendez-vous at 5526 martin luther king, jr. way in oakland, has closed.
