cheeseboard cheese service now open mondays

north berkeley psa: the cheeseboard collective has announced new hours for its cheese counter going forward. it's now open from 10am-2pm on monday as well as every other day of the week except sunday, when the pizza, cheese counter and bakery are all closed.

we're not saying cheeseboard cheese service has never been open mondays – the berkeley institution has been open for nearly 60 years, and a collective for almost that long, known for pivoting to accommodate expansion or the changing needs of its team and community. (and, of course, it's local tradition to join the line of east bay cheese customers around the holidays, when the shop typically adds special monday hours.)

but even before the pandemic, that gorgeous selection of fresh-cut domestic and imported dairy goodness and cheese-related sides (dips, spreads, olives, good crackers) was mostly off limits on mondays...so this is good news for customers. note: the full bakery is not open monday, though there is coffee service; the pizza counter also remains fully closed both sunday and monday.
